O'Driscoll to return for Leinster on Stephen's Day

Brian O'Driscoll will make his seasonal debut for Leinster against Ulster in the Celtic League on St Stephen's Day, despite a report in the Irish Independent claiming Brian O'Driscoll could make a shock return to action this weekend.

"It's too early yet," said his agent and father Frank.

"He's jumping to get playing again, but he has initially planned to return in the last week in December," added Frank O'Driscoll.

Leinster coach Michael Cheika is counting down the days until the Ireland captain's return.

"From a leadership point of view and playing quality, he will give us the depth we need," said Cheika.

"Brian did have a lot of involvement off the field but, thankfully that involvement is now coming on the field.

"It will be great to have him back sometime this month as he is a very talented footballer."
