Ulster player faces ban after cannabis test

A member of the Ulster rugby squad was today facing a two-month ban for testing positive for cannabis.

The Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel said New Zealander Rowan Frost, a second row forward, was guilty of the violation after a Celtic League match in October against Leinster.

The Kiwi has two weeks to appeal a ban, which took effect from October 19.

If the ban is upheld, he will not be able to take part in two Heineken Cup games against Saracens on December 9 and 17.
