First win of season for St Mary's
St Mary's College 21 County Carlow 8
Jonathan Sexton did the damage for St Mary's College as they racked up their first win of the new Division One campaign – a 21-8 success over County Carlow at Templeville Road.
The Leinster Under-21 fly half scored two tries and landed three conversions as the Dubliners moved off the league's bottom spot.
Sexton blazed over from 20 metres to answer an early penalty from Greg Jacob and hand Mary's a 7-3 buffer for the second half.
Sexton added his second and lock Gareth Logan managed a third 'Rock try in the closing quarter. A close range maul saw Carlow flanker David Cox net a consolation score.
