Good news for O'Connell

Ireland's Paul O'Connell has received "positive" news about the amount of time he will spend on the sidelines from a hand injury.

It looks as though he will be out for six weeks and not the ten that was first mooted. This will rule him out of the first two Heineken Cup matches and make him a doubt for Ireland's Autumn international series.
