The dispute between England’s top clubs and the Rugby Football Union over rest periods for elite players is set to rumble on for at least a further two weeks.

The RFU claim to have struck a deal with Premier Rugby, the umbrella organisation for the 12 Guinness Premiership clubs, concerning the use of England players following their return from the British and Irish Lions tour.
