Retiring Irish rugby star Eric Elwood is to be honoured with a gala ball in the Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa in Galway on September 3.

Elwood is officially calling time on his rugby career. The 35-time capped point scorer has appeared in an Irish record of 175 provincial matches.
