Shoguns sign Puma second row Sambucetti

Bristol have signed Argentinian international second row Mariano Sambucetti on a two-year deal.

Bristol have signed Argentinian international second row Mariano Sambucetti on a two-year deal.

Sambucetti, who is set to win his ninth cap against the Lions in Cardiff tonight, has an Italian passport and will therefore not count as a "foreign" player.

The 25-year-old former Brive player’s arrival follows Ed Pearce’s unexpected departure last week.

Bristol coach Richard Hill said: “We’ve been talking to Mariano for some time now and I travelled to Cardiff last week and we got the deal signed.”
