Scots appoint Dixon interim director of rugby

The Scottish Rugby Union have appointed Richie Dixon as interim director of rugby following the departure of Ian McGeechan.

The Scottish Rugby Union have appointed Richie Dixon as interim director of rugby following the departure of Ian McGeechan.

The former Scotland B international is currently head of coach development with the governing body after working with Glasgow Rugby.

Dixon was previously a Scotland coach and played for Glasgow and the Barbarians.

Acting SRU chief executive Fred McLeod said: “We expect that a permanent appointment will be made following the SRU agm in June alongside the creation of a new board, new council and the appointments of a new chief executive and new chairman.”
