Cardiff Blues will go into their crucial Heineken Cup play-off match next month without Lions Tom Shanklin, Gethin Jenkins and Martyn Williams.

The play-off fixture – probably against Calvisano – takes place in Italy on May 29, four days after the Lions squad depart for New Zealand.
