Mitchell named Perth Super 14 coach

Former New Zealand coach John Mitchell has been appointed head coach of the new Super 14 rugby franchise in Perth.

His appointment was announced by Rugby WA Chairman Geoff Stooke today, ending weeks of speculation about whether or not the franchise would be allowed by the Australian Rugby Union to appoint a foreigner to the position.
