Quins future uncertain for Staunton, Dunne

The future of Irish out-halfs Jeremy Staunton and Andrew Dunne at Harlequins could come under further examination as chief executive Mark Evans has sanctioned the signing of Wales international Arwel Thomas until the end of the season, at least.

“With both Andy Dunne and Adrian Jarvis recovering from injury and illness respectively, we were leaving ourselves exposed in the fly half position with just Jeremy Staunton being fully fit,” said Evans.

“To have a player of Arwel’s experience is a great boost to the squad given the importance of the six Zurich Premiership games we still have to play.”
