Irish centre partnership return to full training

Injured Irish centres Brian O’Driscoll and Gordon D’Arcy have both returned to the Irish training camp, following their rehabilitation treatment in Spala, Poland last week.

Both players made excellent progress with their hamstring injuries and trained on the pitch with the rest of the squad this morning.

O’Driscoll and D’Arcy will be assessed further this Wednesday but the Irish management are optimistic both players will be fit for next weekend’s game against England in Lansdowne Road in the RBS Six Nations Championship.

Further news from the Irish camp is that David Wallace of Munster has joined up with the squad as cover for Denis Leamy, who injured his hamstring at the weekend and is currently being assessed.

Johnny O’Connor also joined up with the Irish squad and trained fully today.

The team to play England will be announced on Wednesday following an open training session.
