Injured Betsen may miss Wales clash

France flanker Serge Betsen could miss the RBS 6 Nations match against Wales on February 26 because of a thigh injury.

Betsen sustained the injury during Sunday’s 18-17 victory over England at Twickenham and will definitely miss Biarritz’s Top 16 clash with Agen this weekend.

The 30-year-old, who missed France opening game of the tournament against Scotland because of a thigh injury, will undergo a fitness test on Thursday to determine how long he will be absent.

The news is a further setback for France coach Bernard Laporte, who on Tuesday lost Betsen’s Biarritz team-mate Jimmy Marlu to injury.

The winger damaged his knee against England and could miss the remainder of the tournament.
