Scotland put it up to France

Scotland threatened to pull off one of the biggest upsets in RBS 6 Nations history when they led reigning champions 6-0 at half-time at Stade de France.

Last year’s wooden spoonists cast aside their indifferent form and the domestic squabbles that marred the build-up to the championship to produce a battling first-half showing against the unpredictable French.

Full-back Chris Paterson scored the Scots’ points with two penalties, while France fly-half Yann Delaigue missed both his two kicks at goal and centre Damien Traille was also off target with a penalty.
