Tindall set to be picked by Cherries

England centre Mike Tindall looks set to end his Bath career by joining their Zurich Premiership local rivals Gloucester next season.

The England vice-captain and World Cup winner is understood to be on the verge of completing a deal at Kingsholm.

Gloucester, who were tight-lipped on the matter today, are thought to have attracted Tindall’s services ahead of interest from both Sale Sharks and Saracens.

Centre Tindall, capped 41 times, is currently sidelined with a foot injury which threatens to rule him out of England’s entire RBS 6 Nations campaign.

The 26-year-old made his Test debut against Ireland at Twickenham in 2000, and featured in all but one of England’s World Cup games during their 2003 triumph.

Should Tindall leave Bath, he will follow fellow England internationals Mike Catt and Iain Balshaw through the Recreation Ground exit door in recent times. Catt joined London Irish, while Balshaw is with Leeds.
