Dungannon moved up to seventh in the AIB League Division One table, defeating Cork Con 21-14 despite losing lock to a red card at Stevenson park.

Fly-half Gareth Steenson booted three penalties and Gillan Carruthers picked up a try to ease Dungannon into a 14-3 lead, before a lacklustre Con finally got going.

Former UCC kicker Barry Keeshan had kicked their initial penalty and he tagged on two more, sandwiching French centre Jean-Vincent Igarza's 20-metre sprint for the southern side's only try.

At 14-all at the break, Jeremy Davidson's side lost Barker to a second yellow card, but deservedly claimed the win as Steenson converted scrum-half Spence's late snipe over.
