London Irish coach Gary Gold believes his team have got “a tough hill to climb” in their quest for a European Challenge Cup quarter-final place.

The Exiles must overturn a six-point deficit against Madejski Stadium visitors Pau on Sunday, after losing last weekend’s second round, first leg encounter 25-19.
