Ireland have lost their second match in the Dubai Sevens today, going down against the Springboks' Sevens side.

Earlier Ireland fought tooth-and-nail against traditional kingpins Fiji in the Dubai Sevens this morning but also suffered defeat.

Belfast Harlequins' Ian Humphreys, Loughborough University's Mark Bruce and Ballymena loose forward Michael McComish were the try scorers in a brave 37-17 loss.
