Ulster captain Andy Ward has been struck down by another injury that may keep him out of the game for anything up to six weeks.

Ward damaged his medial ligament in the 20-19 away win at The Borders last Friday evening.

It will come as a big blow to coach Mark McCall as he bids to shore up an injury-ravaged back row.

McCall's prospective signing Tu Tamarua failed a medical earlier in the month and Neil McMillan has been rueld out for the rest of the season.
