Ward damaged his medial ligament in the 20-19 away win at The Borders last Friday evening.

It will come as a big blow to coach Mark McCall as he bids to shore up an injury-ravaged back row.

McCall's prospective signing Tu Tamarua failed a medical earlier in the month and Neil McMillan has been rueld out for the rest of the season.
