Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan today demanded a ceasefire in the war of words with Springbok boss Jake White and insisted the South African’s derogatory comments would not be used as ammunition during tomorrow’s Test showdown.

Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan today demanded a ceasefire in the war of words with Springbok boss Jake White and insisted the South African’s derogatory comments would not be used as ammunition during tomorrow’s Test showdown.

White’s lack of respect for Irish rugby initially emerged in the build up to the two-Test series in June when he taunted the Triple Crown holders for lack of success in the game and referred to Ireland as a second-rate rugby nation.
