Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan hopes the presence of Test debutant Johnny O’Connor will give his Triple Crown winners the edge over South Africa at Lansdowne Road on Saturday.

The Springboks have opted for a beefed-up back row by selecting Schalk Burger, AJ Venter and Joe van Niekerk, a move which should provide the Tri-Nations champions with greater power up front.
