Gaffney rings changes for Munster

Coach Alan Gaffney has decided to stick with just four players - namely, Christian Cullen, Shaun Payne, Donncha O'Callaghan and David Wallace - from last Sunday for their Celtic League get-together with Ulster at Ravenhill on Saturday.

Still, there is a strong experienced edge to the selection with Jason Holland, Alan Quinlan, Gordon McIlwham, James Storey, Mike Prendergast and, especially, Paul Burke reflecting the depth of the squad

Gaffney said: "Obviously a number of squad members are not available to us because of their involvement with the national squad.

"We are, however, fortunate that we have quality players we need to give time to and this provides us with that opportunity. They can use this time to push for places in our Heineken Cup squad while others like Anthony Horgan, Jim Williams and Rob Henderson are being given a well earned rest."
