Students too strong for Lansdowne

Eoghan Hickey returned to UCD colours this afternoon, kicking thirteen points in the Students' victory over Lansdowne.

The 22-year-old, who took a year out in Australia last season, kicked his first of three penalties on eight minutes. A second, midway through the half, was later cancelled out by Lansdowne full-back Brian O'Mahony, as UCD led 6-3 at the break.

In a dour derby game, Leinster team mates David Blaney and James Norton grabbed second half tries as College sped clear, and Andy Doyle's visitors simply had no answer.
