Knee surgery for England flanker

England flanker Richard Hill will undergo exploratory knee surgery tonight after he picked up an injury while playing for Saracens against London Irish last weekend.

The injury is to Hill’s left knee and both Saracens’ medical team and their England counterparts assessed the problem on Sunday and Monday, before sending Hill to a knee specialist on Tuesday following an MRI scan.
