Mick Galwey takes coaching duties at Shannon

Mick Galwey has been unveiled as the new coach of Shannon.

Geoff Moylan leaves the club after three highly successful seasons as their senior coach.

A combination of a move in employment and family circumstances had a major bearing on Moylan's decision.

Moylan guided Shannon to two AIB All-Ireland League Titles, three Munster Senior Cups, three Munster senior Leagues and, a Limerick Charity cup.

Despite stepping down from coaching duties for the present, Moylan will continue to advise the club.

The great Gallimh has been involved with Shannon for almost 20 years.

Galwey has won six AIB All-Ireland league titles and 10 Munster Senior cup medals.
