Charvis-WRU talks on hold

The Welsh Rugby Union hope to resolve their differences with national team captain Colin Charvis after Wales have played Argentina at Tucuman on Saturday.

The Lion back-row forward is refusing to conduct media interviews in the belief such added duties warrant extra payments from the governing body.

WRU general manager Steve Lewis said, “It’s not the sort of thing we want to be talking about on the eve of a Test with Argentina. I don´t see how this issue reflects on Welsh rugby generally. It’s an issue between Colin and his conscience.

“We have put this issue on the back-burner and will be dealing with it after the game.”
