But for poor kicking from Munster U21 full back Cathal Garvey UL Bohemians might have been a clear three converted scores ahead of Dublin University at half time in the AIB League Division 2 final at Lansdowne Road.

As it is, Mike Tewkesbury's team lead 15-3 at the break, with two-cap Munster wing Barry Murphy scoring a charge down try on 18 minutes and out-half Philip Treacy touched down on the half hour.

Garvey has kicked two out of six, converting Treacy's effort and adding an early penalty. Trinity, already promoted to Division One, finally got on the score board thanks to a 39th minute penalty from out-half Keelan McGowan.
