Super League champions Bradford Bulls will break new ground next month when they spend a week in Dublin promoting rugby league.

The innovative Bulls, who are keen to tap into Irish interest in Super League, will visit schools and hold coaching clinics from June 21-23, while the club’s community and marketing team will be in Dublin for the full week.

Bradford chairman Chris Caisley said: “We have been very encouraged by the interest shown for the game in Ireland, as evidenced by a significant increase in our website traffic.

“Our online retail sales to Ireland have increased dramatically over the past 18 months and it is clear that there is a very exciting opportunity for us to further develop our brand in Ireland.

“At the same time, we are keen to use our expertise for the benefit of the community in the same way that we have done so successfully in the UK.”

The move coincides with the inaugural season of an expanded summer amateur rugby league competition taking place in the whole of Ireland.
