Kidney confirmed as new Dragons boss
Gwent Dragons today unveiled former Munster chief Declan Kidney as their new coach.
Kidney, currently the Ireland assistant coach, led Munster to Heineken Cup final appearances in 2000 and 2002.
He will replace Mike Ruddock in charge of the Dragons, with Ruddock taking over from New Zealander Steve Hansen as Wales coach.
The Dragons are chasing Celtic League title glory and could land the championship if they win their remaining two games against Borders and Leinster.
Meanwhile, captain Andy Marinos is to become the Dragons’ new chief executive, as he winds down a playing career that saw him win seven caps for Wales.
