Kerr's new Leeds deal

Scottish international prop Gavin Kerr has agreed a new two-year contract with Leeds.

Scottish international prop Gavin Kerr has agreed a new two-year contract with Leeds.

Kerr, capped 15 times, follows the likes of Gordon Ross, Diego Albanese and Alix Popham in pledging his future to the Headingley club.

And Leeds’ latest successful contract negotiation comes just 24 hours after they announced the signing of England star Iain Balshaw from Bath.

“I am pleased to have settled my immediate future for the next two seasons, and I can now concentrate on my rugby,” said Kerr.

“At 27, props are just coming into their prime, and hopefully I can keep developing here at Leeds and my form for the Tykes will help me become an established player for Scotland.”

Leeds say they will make further announcements shortly regarding their squad for next season.
