Skipper Eoin Brennan added a second before the half time break, and further efforts from the peroxide flash that is out-half David Connellan, who finished on 17 points, and Niall O’Hara saw out the win.

Lansdowne, fourth-from-bottom and hoping to defeat leaders Con on the final day, scored consolations through full back John Murphy (57 mins) and out-half Brian O’Mahony (74), with O'Mahony converting both.
