Veteran forward Carlo Checchinato is the principal doubt for Italy for their last RBS 6 Nations match with Wales at the Millennium Stadium.

Checchinato, who in Saturday’s 19-3 defeat by Ireland equalled Alessandro Troncon’s record of 83 caps for the Azzurri, has already announced he will end his 14-year international career after Saturday’s match.
