Costello to face England

Ireland flanker Victor Costello was today given the all clear to play against England in the RBS 6 Nations Championship at Twickenham tomorrow.

Costello injured his ankle in training on Tuesday but showed no reaction from a training run-out yesterday,

His fitness means there will be no return to the squad for Trevor Brown, who was on stand-by as a possible replacement after being in the international wilderness since 2001.

He had been training with Ireland in Dublin but was allowed to rejoin his club Toulouse when the squad moved to their pre-match hotel at Wokingham last night.
