Brian O’Driscoll joins Gordon D’Arcy in an untested Irish midfield at Lansdowne Road on Sunday brimming with excitement at the prospect of partnering a player he has not even trained with before.

Even though Ireland suffered a 35-17 defeat, watching on TV back home in Dublin O’Driscoll was lost in admiration for D’Arcy’s performance in the RBS 6 Nations opener against France last weekend.
