Scott Quinnell has declared himself fit for Llanelli Scarlets’ Heineken Cup clash against Agen at Stradey Park on Friday night.

The former Wales and Lions number eight suffered a ‘stinger’ injury during the Celtic League game between Llanelli and Neath-Swansea Ospreys last week.

“It’s something that Scott is prone to and has had to learn to live with,” said Llanelli coach Nigel Davies.

“It can be frightening and scary – it’s a bit like a dead leg – but it does clear up quickly. He’s responded well to treatment and said he is fit and raring to go.”

Llanelli show just one change from the side that defeated Borders in the Scarlets’ last Heineken Cup game before Christmas, lock Chris Wyatt reclaiming his place after an injury lay-off.
