Gloucester’s preparations for their Heineken Cup showdown with Munster could suffer a setback at Twickenham tomorrow.

Hooker Chris Fortey has been summoned to appear before a three-man Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel, along with Harlequins lock Jim Evans.

The pair were dismissed for fighting when Gloucester beat Quins 18-17 in a Zurich Premiership game at Kingsholm nine days ago.

Both players, who were sent off by English World Cup referee Tony Spreadbury, could be suspended from immediate action.

Gloucester host Munster on Saturday, while Quins face a Parker Pen Challenge Cup second round first leg tie against French club Montauban.

The panel will be chaired by RFU disciplinary officer Jeff Blackett, assisted by Jonathan Dance and Peter Trunkfield.
