Dungannon handed their new coach Jeremy Davidson the ideal early Christmas present with a third consecutive win, defeating an under strength Galwegians side 37-3 at Stevenson Park.
Full back John McGuckian, their top scorer for the season, hit two rangy penalties over in the opening half for a 6-3 lead, with young David Delaney replying for the Connacht side.
Dungannon scorched off the blocks in the second half with a try four minutes in from Paul Magee, quickly added to by a second from Andy Hughes, with both being converted by McGuckian.
Further tries followed from lock Neil Patterson and a second for Magee eased Davidson's charges home for a bonus point win which sees them up to tenth in the table.
