Wilkinson in post-parade car crash

England rugby hero Johnny Wilkinson was involved in a car accident yesterday as he returned home to Newcastle after the London victory parade, his agent confirmed today.

Agent Dan Collins said that Wilkinson was “fine and back in training today”.

It is believed that the car he was travelling in left the road and hit a tree somewhere in North Yorkshire.

Mr Collins said that the England fly half was uninjured.

“He’s fine, he’s 100%.”
