World champions England enjoyed further success in Australia today following their World Cup final win over the Wallabies.

World champions England enjoyed further success in Australia today following their World Cup final win over the Wallabies.

England were named team of the year at the International Rugby Board (IRB) awards ceremony in Sydney, after their 20-17 extra-time victory in Saturday's World Cup final.

Clive Woodward was named coach of the year.

England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson, already chosen as the players' player of the year, won the IRB award following his match-winning display in the Olympic Stadium final where he kicked 15 points including a game-winning drop-goal in the last minute of extra-time.
