Buccaneers came from behind in Ballinasloe to beat neighbouring rivals Galwegians 17-09 in the AIL Division One this afternoon.

Out-half David Delaney kicked three first half penalties to put Galwegians into a surprise 9-0 lead at the break.

Buccaneers were dealt a blow with an injury to Justin Meagher before the interval but a revival looked on the cards as early as the second half's third minute, when no 8 David Kelly crossed for their first try.

Half-backs Conor O'Loughlin and Chris Keane switched positions soon after and it was O'Loughlin who went on to seal the Buccs win with two tries, while Keane tagged on one conversion.
