O'Driscoll performs on the ideal stage

The Australian media were beginning to wonder quite what had happened to Brian O’Driscoll since the Lions tour of 2001 when three World Cup matches went by without the Ireland star catching the eye.

But Wallabies coach Eddie Jones warned them all last week the 24-year-old was “one touch away from being back to his best” and the implication drawn from Australia’s team selection was that O’Driscoll had them worried.
