Wales coach Steve Hansen claimed his team had “come a long way in a short time” after they produced a superb performance but lost 53-37 to New Zealand in Sydney.

Hansen said the effort of his team, who now play England in the quarter-finals next weekend, was outstanding but rued the lack of high-intensity rugby for his players at club and provincial level.
