England fined for extra player debacle

England have escaped serious punishment for briefly fielding an extra player in the World Cup win over Samoa.

The Rugby Football Union have been fined £10,000 (€14,548) for misconduct relating to that incident, which if deemed more serious could have incurred a points deduction.
