Pumas pair penalised

Argentina duo Mariccio Reggiardo and Roberto Grau have both been suspended following a marathon seven-hour hearing in Sydney tonight.

Former Saracens prop Grau has been hit with a nine-week ban, now a World Cup record, for ’raking his hand over the face’ of Ireland skipper Keith Wood at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

Reggiardo’s attack on Reggie Corrigan was deemed not to be as reckless and he has been handed a six-match suspension.
