Sky win Heineken Cup rights

Sky have won the right to show the Heineken Cup for the next three seasons after outbidding the BBC and Channel Five.

The satellite broadcaster will show three live matches each weekend that Europe’s top club competition is being played, plus a highlights show.

Sky will also screen live the semi finals and final of the Parker Pen Cup, European rugby union’s lesser competition.

The deal with European Rugby Cup will run from the three season’s beginning this December.
