New Zealand 28 Canada 3

All Blacks number eight Rodney So’oialo scored his first two Test tries as New Zealand overcame a spirited opening from Canada to secure a bonus by half-time in Melbourne.

The Canadians kept New Zealand at bay for 17 minutes but once Caleb Ralph finished off a trademark breakaway try, New Zealand began to turn the screw.

So’oialo touched down for a second and then secured the bonus point four minutes before half-time, with winger Mils Muliaina scoring his first All Blacks try inbetween.
