Wood: That was the best Romanian game I've seen

Keith Wood has praised Ireland opponents Romania after today's Pool A clash in Gosford..

"I thought they played very well - the best I've seen them actually," said Wood.

He said Ireland's own game was "a bit rusty - but that's only to be expected".

Wood added that, despite some rough knocks in today's match, he didn't think any of the injuries to the Ireland squad were too serious.

Brian O'Driscoll paid tribute to try-scorer Shane Horgan, back in international rugby after a nine-month break.

"Shane played fantastically well for a man who hasn't played international rugby in nine months," said O'Driscoll.
