With nine days to go to the beginning of the World Cup, Ireland arrived Down Under at 5.10am today to the cheers of a group of fans from PJ O’Brien’s Irish pub in Sydney.

Seven other teams are arriving on Australian shores today - Pool A opponents Romania and Argentina landed today, as did Canada. Meanwhile, France and the USA touched down in Brisbane.
