Wasps fly-half Alex King was today ruled out of England’s World Cup plans after suffering a knee injury.

And wing Dan Luger will miss Saturday’s final World Cup-game against France at Twickenham due to a minor back injury suffered in training.

Bath back Iain Balshaw has been promoted off the replacements’ bench instead of Luger, with Josh Lewsey drafted in among the substitutes.
