Grewcock to miss England clash

Danny Grewcock will miss England’s clash against New Zealand in Wellington next month after receiving a two-week suspension tonight.

Bath captain Grewcock was sent off for punching Wasps skipper and England team-mate Lawrence Dallaglio in today’s Parker Pen Challenge Cup final at the Madejski Stadium.

A disciplinary hearing was held after the game, when Grewcock was given a 14-day ban that will begin on June 1.

It means he cannot play either against the All Blacks on June 14 or the New Zealand Maori in New Plymouth five days earlier.

England coach Clive Woodward is due to announce his tour squad at Twickenham on Tuesday morning.
